Schools reopened for the academic year 2022-23 on Monday. Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy said that the students are coming to school with much joy. She also mentioned that the government is developing the schools under the Mana Ooru Mana Badi programme. The government is spending Rs. 9,000 crores for coming up with new facilities in 26 schools. Telangana government school teachers have demanded resumption of physical classes for classes 1 to 8 in the state. They have written to Chitra Ramachandran, Special Chief Secretary, Education on the same.

Ahead of schools reopening in Telangana, private schools and parents management met with Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy on Tuesday and raised and registered their concerns regarding vaccination, school fees among others during the meeting.
Representatives of the Hyderabad School Parents Association (HSPA) have requested the Education Minister of the state to ensure that all teaching and non-teaching staff in schools are tested for COVID19 infection before the classes are resumed. The association also raised concerns over school fee regulation.
Students should wear facemasks and they can t enter the building without a face mask.
Body temperature should be checked.
Students with symptoms of cold, cough should be given leave.
Close contact should be avoided and social distancing should be maintained.
Hand sanitizer should be installed at the entrance of the school. Elevators and classrooms should be properly sanitized. No close group discussion.
The ministry of health and family welfare has already released an SOP that includes
Physical distance of at least 6 feet has to be maintained.
Face covers or masks are compulsory.
Frequent hand washing (for at least 40-60 seconds) with soap, even though the hands are not clearly dirty.
