Why there was no Police Security in this school at all when my grandson was threatened yesterday with a gun. Reporter the School District says the police were unaware that the principal told parents they would see extra protection this morning. An officer was stationed here at dismissal time. School principal david laver had no comments. Parents say gun or no gun the kids need more police protection. There arent Police Officers. They say theres no funding for public school. As a parent we do need security. Reporter parents what about the more police but they also say theres never been any trouble at this school. Lexington near exit 31 its rear driver side wheel somehow came off and went flying over the jersey barrier into the northbound side of the highway hitting the driver of this toyota camry. The front part of the car and windshield seem to be the point of impact. The driver a man was killed. Pickup was stopped in the highway several hundred yards past where the tire flew off. State police have the vehicle surrounded. The crash brings to mind a similar one that happened almost two years ago to the date also on 128 if you exit up the highway in burlington. In that case a truck dropped a mattress in the middle of 128 and the debris spark a chain of events that led to a womans death. That driver didnt stop. Early this Morning Police in ferguson held a News Conference after a second night of looting and objects thrown at police officers. We were able to seize a molotov cocktail in the area of Church Street in front of city hall near the police car. There was an arrest made regarding that. I have the actual molotov cocktail on the tailgate of the pickup truck. We also seized a. 9 millimeter semiautomatic pistol. Rocks, bottle, a socket extension. Looks like broken tent poles that were hurled at the officers, pieces of asphalt, small bottles filled with probably something you could drink, perhaps water or gatorade.
