Meanwhile hayward announce td its keeping the coronavirus testing site open through the end of the month. People do have to exhibit at least one symptom like a fever or cough. And all of this raises the question of how often should we be tested and will the state be able to accommodate the need. I Team Reporter is digging into the answers and she joins us now. Covid19 testing statewide has stayed consistent. The latest data shows a significant increase in early april. Nationally california ranks 27th. No place or at least no other place than the street. The city shelters cant go in there because they would be too close to one another. Instead, nonprofit organizations are giving them tents and tell them to shelter in place. And in this case, in the tenderloin, that place is the sidewalk. The idea is that theyre contained, not going to be spreading the virus. But theyre going to stay in the tents. But the reality is different. Just take a look. Theyre not staying in the tents. Theyre out on the streets. And with it are the other problems, the Mental Illness, the drugs, the other things associated with population that are going with them. Its one thing what youre seeing on the streets. The other thing is what youre not seeing all the time. Those are the people that are living in the hotels here and apartments here that are virtually being held prisoner because they cant go out on the streets and mingle with this. But what we are seeing to our west as those showers starting to head our direction you see the advance of these double lines of showers that have been pushing in over the past couple of hours. So what we are seeing right off the north coast of the state right now right off the humboldt mendocino counties is where that rainfall is sitting its going to take a while to get to us so thats why were still free of it this morning. Areas further north in the bay are your most likely spots to be picking up on rainfall ahead of the rest of the bay area.
