No place or at least no other place than the street. The city shelters cant go in there because they would be too close to one another. Instead, nonprofit organizations are giving them tents and tell them to shelter in place. And in this case, in the tenderloin, that place is the sidewalk. The idea is that theyre contained, not going to be spreading the virus. But theyre going to stay in the tents. But the reality is different. Just take a look. Theyre not staying in the tents. Theyre out on the streets. And with it are the other problems, the Mental Illness, the drugs, the other things associated with population that are going with them. Its one thing what youre seeing on the streets. The other thing is what youre not seeing all the time. Those are the people that are living in the hotels here and apartments here that are virtually being held prisoner because they cant go out on the streets and mingle with this.
