To ensure no patient from outside the province enters without proper coordination, Espino said the provincial government is relentless in its contact with local government units and national government agencies manning Pangasinan’s border control checkpoints. Espino added that the provincial technical working group is to create a set of protocols between hospitals and isolation facilities in Pangasinan and the NCR plus bubble. According to the records of provincial Health Officer Dr. Anna de Guzman, only two patients from the NCR were admitted in the previous weeks, but this happened prior to placing the NCR plus bubble under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Dental assistant nabbed for unauthorized procedure in Pangasinan

The suspect was identified as Napoleon Robeniol of Barangay Lawak, Tayug, this province. The Pangasinan Provincial Police Office said the suspect was arrested by the San Quintin police and Pangasinan Dental Chapter District 6 in an entrapment operation at 5:50 p.m. following the complaint of Janice Peralta, 27, of Barangay Bantog here. Peralta said she had Robeniol attach a dental jacket which sustained damage later on. She tapped the suspect to replace it at her house. However, she found out that Robeniol is unauthorized to do the procedure as he is an unlicensed dentist and just a dental assistant, prompting the victim to file a complaint with authorities that led to the suspect’s arrest.
