A city-bound IndiGo flight was diverted to Hyderabad, while a SpiceJet flight was diverted to Surat, due to the suspension of air services at the airport, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) said in the statement on Monday.

Mumbai: Actor Kartik Aaryan shared an Instagram post on Monday urging his fans in the city to stay at home, in the wake of meteorological warnings about cyclone Tauktae hitting Mumbai.
Kartik Aaryan posted a throwback picture of himself and wrote about how people must stay at home due to the alert. Mumbai is on lockdown due to the Covid outbreak and the actor added the impending cyclone was another reason to remain indoors.

Tauktae effect: Orange, yellow rain alerts for MP districts
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued an orange or be prepared alert for heavy rains in 13 districts in Madhya Pradesh even
as the state received intermittent showers during the day due to cyclone Tauktae, an official said. The IMD also issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms
with lightning and gusty winds at speeds of 40 50 kilometres per hour in isolated places of nine divisions till Tuesday morning.
The orange alert is for 13 districts, including Narsinghpur, Alirajpurand and Mandsaur, while the yellow alert has been issued for Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Jabalpur divisions among others.
Mumbai and its neighbouring areas today experienced high-speed winds and heavy rains as the "very severe cyclonic storm" Tauktae headed towards Gujarat, uprooting trees and disrupting local train services.
