Authorities say 29yearold Sayfullo Saipov had been planning the rampage for weeks, even conducting a reconnaissance run, renting a truck and visiting the very spot where he planned to attack. On his officials found thousands of isis images and more than 90 propaganda videos. And a note left behind in his truck seeming to praise the islamic state. He appears to have followed almost exactly to a t the instructions that isis has put out in its social media channels. Reporter . Saipov moved to the u. S. In 2010, most recently in paterson, new jersey with his wife and three children. It was here saipov rented that truck from home depot and began his deadly assault, traveling nearly a mile down a popular bike path. Court records showing he was prepared to travel miles further to the Brooklyn Bridge had he not crashed into this school bus.
