(MENAFN - Kashmir Observer) Representational Photo Srinagar- Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two militant associates belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and recovered incriminating material in central Kashmir s Budgam district.
A police spokesperson said that following specific information, a checkpoint was established by police and 53 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) at Chadoora in Budgam on Sunday. State forces intercepted two persons at the checkpoint and during checking recovered incriminating material, including flags, banners and letter pad from their possession, he said.
He said the accused were identified as Sameer Ahmed Ittoo and Ubaid Ameen Mallah, both residents of Tarigam Kulgam. A case FIR No 6/2020 has been registered under relevant sections of UAPA in Police Station Chadoora, he said.
