Srinagar: Two policemen died after terrorists opened fire at a Police party in Barzulla area of the Srinagar district in Jammu and Kashmir on February 19. #BarzullaTerrorAttackUpdate: Both the injured #policemen namely SgCT Mohammad Yousuf of Zurhama Kupwara and Ct Suhail Ahmad of Logripora Aishmuqam attained #martyrdom. “Incriminating materials including flags, banners and letter pad have been recovered from their possession,” it added.
Police said that preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested duo was involved in grenade lobbing incidents in Pulwama and Kulgam districts of south Kashmir and made posters, banners and flags of the militant outfits on the directions of their handlers across borders for further distribution at various locations in central and south Kashmir.
The duo, as per police, was also actively involved in recruiting militants and OGWs with the aim to carry out militant activities in Budgam.

SRINAGAR: Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two militant associates belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and recovered incriminating material in central Kashmir district of Budgam.
A police spokesperson said that following specific information, a checkpoint was established by police and 53 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) at Chadoora in Budgam on Sunday. “Security forces intercepted two persons at the checkpoint and during checking recovered incriminating material, including flags, banners and letter pad from their possession,” he said.
He said the accused were identified as Sameer Ahmed Ittoo and Ubaid Ameen Mallah, both residents of district Kulgam. “A case FIR No 6/2020 has been registered under relevant sections of UAPA in Police Station Chadoora,” he said.

Security forces on Sunday arrested two militant associates in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir and seized incriminating material from their possession, police said on Monday.
Sameer Ahmed Ittoo and Ubaid Ameen Mallah, residents of Kulgam district of south Kashmir, were arrested on Sunday, a police spokesperson said.
