Tandav Makers to Drop Controversial Scenes, Thank I&B Ministry for Guidance
The decision has been arrived at after the representatives of the show and Amazon Prime platform met officials from the Union ministry of information and broadcasting following complaints received from different parts of the country.

New Delhi: The makers of Amazon Prime Show
Tandav have decided to drop scenes from the political drama that have allegedly hurt religious sentiments and resulted in numerous first information reports (FIRs) from different parts of the country.
This decision has been arrived at after the representatives of the show and Amazon Prime platform met the Union ministry of information and broadcasting on Tuesday for a second meeting to discuss complaints that the ministry claimed to have received on the show. A four-member team of Uttar Pradesh Police arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday to conduct a probe into a case registered in Lucknow against controversial web series Tandav , an official said on Wednesday. The controversy around Amazon Prime Video s web series Tandav has shown no indication of dying down even after the makers of the show tendered an unconditional apology. On Wednesday, hundreds of activists staged a dharna and demonstration at New Delhi s Jantar Mantar, demanding the arrest of Ali Abbas Zaffar, the writer and director of Tandav. The demonstration was led by former Union Minister and President of BJP Delhi Vijay Goel.
Row over Tandav escalates
In the wake of massive backlash against Amazon Prime’s latest series Tandav, Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar and the entire cast and crew of Tandav has issued an unconditional apology. In an official statement shared on his Twitter account, Ali Abbas Zafar has said that they have been closely monitoring viewer reactions to Tandav and The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has also informed them about a large number of grievances and petitions that have been filed against its content. In response to which, they want to express that Tandav is a work of fiction and any resemblance of acts and persons in purely coincidental.
