After multiple filing deadline extensions, the ballots for the upcoming Harford County primary election is more crowded than when the initial deadline was first issued in February.
The Women of Tomorrow Awards celebrates young women in Harford County in grades 7-12 who stand out for their academic achievements and contributions to their communities.
The event began a yearlong celebration of George T. Stansbury, a 1939 graduate of the school who became a doctor and returned to Havre de Grace to serve Black residents who couldn't be treated at local hospitals.
Finalists include a HCPS grad, a recipient of the Harford County Educational Foundation Everyday Hero Award, and an inductee in the National Teaching Hall of Fame
