Papers to run in Swampscott election available

Swampscott residents can now pull nomination papers to run for town-officer positions and Town Meeting seats for the 2021 municipal election.
Eight town-officer positions and at least 108 Town Meeting seats are up for grabs in the Tuesday, April 27 election.
Due to the COVID pandemic, Swampscott Town Hall, 22 Monument Ave. is operating by appointment only until further notice. Residents must make arrangements with Swampscott Town Clerk Susan Duplin s office either by calling 781.596.4167 or by emailing sduplin@swampscottma.gov to pick up nomination papers
People running for a town-officer position must obtain 50 viable signatures from registered voters to land on the local-election ballot.

The following Swampscott public meetings below have been posted on the town’s website.
As the town practices social distancing, some will stream on the municipal website as well as broadcast on Swampscott Government Access Channels: Comcast Channel 22 and Verizon Channel 41
