A deputy opened fire after the suspect allegedly rammed three squad cars. That suspect now in custody. Kimberly tere joining us at the Sheriffs Office in san jose with the details. Reporter the Sheriffs Office is still in the middle of this investigation, but i can certainly tell you what weve learned so far. The call came in about 5 30 this morning. A resident on croy road reported a suspicious car. The suspect sped down the driveway ramming his car into the patrol vehicles when they arrived. A deputy fired at least one shot toward the suspect whose car continued down the roadway, until it crashed in a ravine. The suspect took off. Based on information we had at the time, we believe that that suspect was armed and dangerous.
