Uniindia: Nashik, Jun 5 (UNI) A meeting of the District Disaster Management Authority was held today. The positivity rate in the district and Nashik Municipal Corporation area as well as the available number of oxygen beds were taken into consideration. Taking into account the changes in the positivity rate from time to time as well as the immediate increase in the number of patients after the relaxation of the restrictions last year, the District Disaster Management Authority has unanimously decided to maintain the Level 3 restrictions. Level 3 matters will be implemented in the district. Detailed orders in this regard will be passed as soon as possible and will come into force from Monday. Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection and District Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has said that industries and businesses should be started by strictly abiding by all the restrictions as per the order of the District Disaster Management Authority.

Mumbai: On a day when 1,222 new Covid-19 cases were reported, the Nashik district collector Suraj Mandhare on Saturday has announced relaxation in complete lockdown restrictions from May 24 in the district. However, he has clarified that the imposition of stringent curbs introduced by the state government under the BreaktheChain order will continue to be in place till 7 am on June 1.
Mandhare said the complete lockdown imposed from May 12 has yielded positive results as the active cases reduced to 16,000 from 35,000. He clarified that 16,000 cases were the peak that the district had reported last year. He, however, urged the citizens to observe Covid Appropriate Behavior in order to further reduce the cases.

Strict lockdown-like restrictions will be imposed in the Nashik district of Maharashtra for 11 days beginning Wednesday given the surge in COVID-19 cases.
The complete lockdown will begin at 12 noon on Wednesday and will remain in effect until midnight on May 23. The announcement came after a district disaster management authority meeting chaired by Collector Suraj Mandhare.
There are orders in Nashik to shut down everything except for the medical service. The decision was taken in view of the steady rise in COVID-19 infections in the city.
