Urging Johor govt to speed up vaccination for M sians in Singapore among nine resolutions passed at state DAP convention

BATU PAHAT: Nine resolutions including urging the Johor government to expedite the registration for vaccination for Malaysians working in Singapore were passed unanimously at the 20th state DAP convention. It called on the state government, under the leadership of Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohamad, to speed up the Johor Immunity Planning via its Johor ImmuPlan initiative and for the Federal Government to step up in its Covid-19 vaccination efforts in the state. The resolution, read by incumbent state secretary Tan Hong Pin on Sunday (May 2), stated that the party was ready to work with the government to promote the vaccination programme among the rakyat.

Malaysian Nature Lovers Association (MNS) president Professor Dr Ahmad Ismail said it would however, require the state government, through the relevant authorities, to take immediate action to prevent further pollution in the river. He said the reason being that pollution is still a problem due to the discharge of industrial effluent and sewage waste into the river.
