ISKANDAR PUTERI, June 23 Johor recorded a total value of investment of RM2.237 billion in the manufacturing sector for the first three months of this year, the state government.

BATU PAHAT: Nine resolutions including urging the Johor government to expedite the registration for vaccination for Malaysians working in Singapore were passed unanimously at the 20th state DAP convention.
It called on the state government, under the leadership of Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohamad, to speed up the Johor Immunity Planning via its Johor ImmuPlan initiative and for the Federal Government to step up in its Covid-19 vaccination efforts in the state.
The resolution, read by incumbent state secretary Tan Hong Pin on Sunday (May 2), stated that the party was ready to work with the government to promote the vaccination programme among the rakyat.
This comes as the Federal government has yet to give any response regarding the proposed project.
Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar said he did not see any reason why the Federal government would not be willing to give Johor a chance to be an eco-friendly producer of electricity.
“We have a suitable plot for the project, robust growth and development as well as a healthy demand from our neighbour, which makes Johor a most strategic location, ” His Majesty said in a statement posted on his official Facebook page Tuesday (March 9).
On March 1, His Majesty announced that Johor will become a leading producer of renewable clean energy with the commissioning of the power plant by 2023.
JOHOR BARU: Johor will soon become a major producer of environmentally-friendly energy with the opening of a RM1.4bil solar power plant in Pengerang.
Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, who made the announcement via his Facebook page yesterday, said the project would be the biggest of its kind in South-East Asia with a combined installed capacity of 450 megawatts.
Sultan Ibrahim said the project, to be called the Sultan Ibrahim Solar Park, would have a healthy economic spillover effect for the people in the form of job opportunities at various levels.
“With this exciting project, Johor will make a quantum leap into the world of renewable and sustainable clean energy.
