Cornell students are in the process of planning and applying for summer research opportunities with the help of Cornell s career resources and guidance from their departments.
The UN System Staff College (UNSSC) and the IE School of Global and Public Affairs’ Bachelor in International Relations (BIR) Programme have completed a second edition of the joint Summer Research Programme.
The research culminated in a dynamic virtual event on 7 October 2022, where students showcased their findings and conclusions, and will be followed by a presentation on 26 January 2023 at Secretariat for International Cooperation, Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Thanks to the $300,000 Summer Research in Biology Fellowship established by Professor Emeritus of Biology Lloyd Matsumoto and his wife, Terri, additional funding will be available for RIC biology students who take part in the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program. “This fellowship is designed to provide more opportunities for faculty and students,” Matsumoto says. “My ultimate goal is to strengthen the Department of Biology and attract more students.”
