Everything having to do with the covid crisis, to the lockdowns, to the killing of george floyd and subsequent protests and riots, and the president ial election. So a lot of people are taking the opportunity to really reexamine first principles, and trying to figure out where we stand as a nation. And people on the right at the end of the president s term as the end of the president s term comes into focus are asking themselves what is conservatism . Has the president made an impact on the overall trajectory of the conservative movement and the Republican Party . So i want to take this opportunity to reexamine those fundamental questions. Even in terms of pop culture, or political culture, understanding the white house is a symbol for american democracy. And how that symbol has changed and evolved over time. It says a lot about who we are, the american identity itself, and i think all of these different ways of studying the white house touches on all of these Different Things that you may not get in a traditional American History textbook.
