DIMAPUR National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), in collaboration with Community Educational Centre Society (CECS), launched the ‘Integrated Tribal Development Programme (ITDP)’ in Tuli under Mokokchung district on Thursday. An update from NABARD stated that the programme would support 200 tribal families for development of fishery and poultry along with banana and tapioca plantation. “The integrated tribal development programme aims to promote economic empowerment, bring individual farmers as a whole and promote sustainable livelihood for the communities through the establishment and support of fish farming,” it stated. The inaugural programme was held at FRMCA Hall in Tuli town with the general manager of NABARD, Tiakala Ao, who also inaugurated the project followed with releasing of fingerlings at Aopenzu.
