Public universities and Government Agencies stopped considering race in their hiring and admissions decisions. Today the assembly approved a proposal to repeal that ban. The bills author says recent police traiks tragedies are showing that race and gender still matter. The bill could be ratified later on this month and be up for a vote in november.
