Welcome to Midnight Mania!
UFC did not hold back with UFC 259, as three separate title fights and four UFC champions topped a talent-rich event. From top-to-bottom of the 15-fight card, there were recognizable names and entertaining performances, and it would appear that the gamble of putting all these titles on the line at once paid off.
Per a report from Sports Business Journal, UFC 259 sold an estimated 600k pay-per-view (PPV) buys domestically, as well as an additional 200k internationally. For an event headlined by anyone other than Conor McGregor, those are really strong numbers, particularly since UFC recently raised the PPV price an additional $5.

Welcome to Midnight Mania!
After scoring the biggest win of his career and becoming the first man to knock out Conor McGregor in the process (WATCH IT!), Dustin Poirier has a ton of options. He’s almost certainly going to fight for the title next, but there are simply countless potential opponents for Poirier. Charles Oliveira more than deserves a title shot himself, Michael Chandler is coming off a huge knockout (even if Poirier is unimpressed), and somehow Nate Diaz has once again talked himself into the mix!

Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Longtime Welterweight and Lightweight athlete Anthony Rocco Martin is no longer a member of the UFC roster per MMAJunkie. Martin was last seen competing in June at UFC 250 opposite Neil Magny, coughing up a close decision to the veteran clinch fighter. Though that bout is well over half a year ago, it is only now that UFC and Martin have opted to go their separate ways.
“I am excited for what the future holds,” Martin told MMAJunkie in a written statement. “I’m ranked 22 on Tapology. I feel like I am entering my prime and can’t wait for a new home. I want to find a place that I can compete to be a world champion and push to be the best in the world.”
