Granular lockdown has been imposed in selected areas from the city's 17 barangays with two or more Covid-19 cases, said Jeck Conlu, spokesperson for the Iloilo City Covid team, in an interview on Wednesday. "It is possible that the number will increase if there are local transmissions. The areas, sitio (zones), compound or houses are locked down while we are conducting contact tracing, swabbing and isolation," he said. In a statement Monday, the IPHO reported that the figure is 144 percent higher compared to the same period last year's 15 injuries, despite repeated reminders by the province's health officials. According to IPHO, the municipality of Polomolok recorded the highest number of injuries with six cases; followed by Lake Sebu with four; Surallah, three including one amputation; and two cases each for Koronadal City, and the municipalities of Norala, Sto. Nino, and Tupi. The municipality of Tantangan recorded one case, while the towns of Tampakan, Banga, and T'boli have zero cases.
