One witness told us the driver of the truck first went to a nearby boat launch before this accident, but didnt want to pay the 10 fee to launch his jet ski there so he came over here and tried to put it in here. Back live now at the scene, it appears he left his truck sitting right where that jet ski is parked for obviously a bit too long. Chp officer who was here on scene when we got here said that both victims were talking when they were taken away. Another amtrak train went through here at a pretty high rate of speed. Freak accident is exactly the right term. Just an incredible series of events involving a train, a car, a jet ski and a woman on an inflatable raft. This was really a bizarre incident that left two people seriously injured. As you said, it did involve a jet ski. The jet ski is still sitting out here right next to the Railroad Tracks. This is what it looked like, though, from sky 7 hd a short time ago. Were told by witnesses that the man driving a pickup truck towing a trailer carrying a jet ski had that truck parked on the Railroad Tracks here on warner road. This is a dirt road just off of orwood road in brentwood. He was apparently trying to launch his jet ski when an amtrak train approached, frantically honking its horn.
