Tunde Onishola the nephew to late Nollywood actress Folakemi Aremu aka Orisabunmi has discredited the rumour that the actress and her siblings died from COVID-19 complications.
Mr Onishola son of the late Kwara Falcons Basketball Club technical director Steve Onishola told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Ilorin that the multiple deaths were “just a coincidence’’.
He said that neither his father Steve nor Orisabunmi nor her younger sister Janet Ademola died from the disease.
Onishola died in Ilorin on January 7 barely 24 hours after Orisabunmi died. Janet followed on January 9.
“It is not true that my father, late Nollywood actress, Orisabunmi and their younger sister, Janet died of COVID-19 complications,” he said.

Onishola died barely 24 hours after his younger sister, Folake Aremu, a Nollywood actress, popularly known as Orisabunmi, passed on.
The State Chairman of the association, Dr. Joseph Adeyemo, confirmed the death of Onishola in Ilorin on Thursday.
The late basketball coach was said to have passed on at 71 following a brief illness.
The deceased was the Manager of Falcons on different occasions before he was appointed the club’s technical director. He was part of the Falcons’ team that secured promotion for the club to the elite division in 2013.
