2020 was a year of perseverance and unity for Cambridge officials The Daily Jeffersonian City department heads gathered at the Cambridge City Council meeting on Monday to present their year end reports as part of the State of the City Address.  Among all the reports were several common threads; each echoed the sentiment of what a year 2020 had been, perseverance and how they worked together to get through the year. Safety Departments: Fire Cambridge Fire Department Chief Jeff Deeks began by telling the council members and audience that 2020 was challenging not just for his department but for everyone.  I believe that sometimes we are tested , not to show our weaknesses, but to discover our strengths, Deeks said.  2020 has tested all of us, every person, every business, but I will tell you that this department and your firefighters  did not back down.

The teen was later located. 5:53 p.m., non-custodial mother took twins, age 13 months, from grandmother s home in violation of court orders, Hickory Hollow Road. 5:30 p.m., woman, 60, chest pains, Oxford Road.
