Professor rakove the subtitle is myths about the elections and we will go into those. Lets talk about the myths. Madisons role as the agenda maker for the convention, and the particular point i want to make, as madison prepares himself for the convention and the weeks before they are supposed to meet, i think the key item he worked on in his agenda is the idea that a system of federalism based on the voluntary compliance of the state with the recommendations the resolutions, the requisitions came from the Continental Congress, was never going to work. When he reasons this, he does this in an empirical way. He looked at the lessons that americans like him had learned since 1776. New provisions express american support for the nation of israel. Im a strong supporter of israel. Arabs as well. Israel was our first bilateral freetrade partner. One our strongest allies in the middle east. They continue to face discriminatory and economic pressure. I believe the u. S. Should stand by israel as they fight these unfair acts. Demonstrate our stead asked steadfast commitment. We are able to include a number of important provisions to help find efforts that do discriminate against israel. Im glad we were able to include this provision along with important measures. This was a good package. I hope that earns all of your support. A typical graduate student would save more than 2,500, and a it upical parent would save 3,500 or more. My colleagues know these savings would be invested right back into the economy. Last year the center for American Progress estimate tad refinancing just some of these 21 l loans would pump million into the economy. Thats because these people are 100 40e 0 to to 100 a month. Our bill is a good deal to taxpayers. Just last week the Congressional Budget Office scored our bill as generating 72. 5 billion in savings over 10 years. But thats the definition it gives at the state level and the local level. So, thats what we have to work with. It doesnt include restaurants, too, right . Yeah. Because now when you go to restaurant, they key in whatever you order and [speaker not understood], and at the end when you check out and they punch the total, so, that would include all the small restaurants as well.
