The Noale-based manufacturer first teased the bike at EICMA 2019
The Tuareg is based on the same 660cc parallel-twin platform as the Tuono and RS 660.
The half-faired bike features a short windscreen, projector headlamp, and a full-digital console.
Hardware includes long-travel suspension, laced wheels, and an upswept exhaust.
Expect to see the production model by early-2022.
Travel back to EICMA 2019 and you’d remember Aprilia teasing its mid-displacement ADV veiled with bushes, shrubs, and all sorts of foliage. That was the Tuono 660 concept a bike pegged to carry on Aprilia’s adventure touring legacy in a new avatar. Having said that, we knew very little about the Tuareg 660 apart from the fact that it would be based on the same 660cc platform as the Tuono and RS 660.

I have a question, should i go ahead with normal 4x4 or Legender 4x2? I always feel a 4x4 gives me more peace of mind in road trips across varied terrains in India. My frequent runs are between Gurgaon - Lucknow but I do use roads as a preferred mode a lot..Would definitely recommend the 4x4 - for a premium which will be a small fraction of the price, you get capability that may come in useful as your hobbies and interests may change over the ownership period of 5-7 years, for example going to offbeat places or joining a 4X4 club near you etc. Even if the 4x4 is priced 2 lakhs higher, it is just 5% incremental cost in this price segment.
