Genealogy speaker series to hear about Irish research FAIRFIELD Cath M. Trindle, who specializes in Irish research, among other topics, will speak on “Irish Genealogy: Exploring Townlands,” at the next meeting of the Solano County Genealogical Society. Historically, life in rural Ireland centered around the townland. Guests are invited to come and explore some online resources and those still hiding in repositories. The Genealogical Society’s virtual Speaker Series meeting begins at 11 a.m. Feb. 6. More information can be found on the society’s webpage at www.scgsca.org. Guests are welcome.
