Jammu, April 26 (Scoop News)-JK Congress has paid rich tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh ji, last Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir, who had signed the instrument of accession of the state with India.
Remembering the Maharaja on his death anniversary today, JKPCC paid rich tributes to him for his revolutionary steps during his rule and more particularly for acceding the state to the Union of India on 26th Oct, 1947.
He had declared that as a ruler he has no religion and his religion is justice to all. This shows his far sightedness and approach towards citizens of his state. He opened up temples for downtrodden, irrespective of caste or creed, which was a remarkable and revolutionary step, said JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma while paying tributes to him on behalf of the entire rank and file of the party.
