School in lower merion township did not renew winters contract in a recent letter to parents about the matter the principal wrote many accept life choices that contradict church teachings, to continue as a Catholic School waldron mercy must comply with those teachings. It seemed obvious to me that margin winters was fired for her lifestyle. It raises the legal question whether or not theyre in compliance with the lower merion antidiscrimination ordinance. Waldron a religious organization would be exempt under the ordinance if it did not accept state grant money. But thats not the case. Breaking news in Half Moon Bay where highway 1 is closed after a chp car hit and killed a pedestrian. It happened just outside of sams chowder house. Thanks for joining us. Tiffany wilson just tweeted that video you saw. Tiffany . Reporter thats right, eric, we arrived about ten minutes ago. It is still a very active scene. The chp officer who hit that pedestrian was traveling northbound on highway 1 when he struck the man right in front of sams chowder house. The pedestrian was a 74yearold filipino man from burlingame. A worker at sams chowder house and another bystander said the man was part of a wedding reception being celebrated at the chowder house tonight. Now, that man was rendered aid by the Fire Department but he did die here at the scene. This happened at 8 24 p. M. A portion of highway 1 has been closed since a few minutes after the accident.
