Shortly after 3 oclock, yesterday afternoon, pierce fire and rescue responded to a vehicle on fire nine miles west of pierce. Firefighters with the Pierce Fire Department worked to extinguish the fire, and saw human remains in the cab of the pickup. The Nebraska State Patrol and state Fire Marshalls Office were called to investigate.
