That was the explosion as it happened. Officials say the fire is contained but they have yet to determine what started it. The fire sent an awful lot of the black smoke into the air in rodeo, hercules and crockett. Interstate 80 is now open after 80 was shut down in both directions for hours yesterday. We are at the front gates of this facility and there are a lot of people out here assessing the scene. Right now they are in the cleanup process of this situation. Cal oshas is prohibiting use of the facility and nustar said last night all operations and shipments are stopped for now. We dont know when the facility will be up and running. An Assessment Team has been here for hours touring the facility but still no word on the cause. The contra costa Fire Protection district held another News Conference with an update from the scene. As we know, two tanks containing 252,000 gallons of ethanol in total were destroyed in the fire at Nustar Petroleum Storage Facility in crockett. The remainder of the ethanol is being held by berms around the tank sites but we are told the liquid is largely a mixer of water and foam at this point. The teams here plan to rem
