Reducing gun violence and today the talk in the south bay was about solutions at the local and federal level. The question what would help our communities move forward toward ending gun violence . Reporter whether it is street attacks, violence in the home, or mass shootings, gun violence is a daily threat in our communities. Today congressman Jimmy Panetta held a round table with local leaders about what can be done to stop or slow down the crisis. Were inundated and unfortunately it can lead us to be very overwhelmed. Reporter joined by Santa Clara County sheriff bob johnson who says applications for concealed carry permits have skyrocketed he would like a mandatory psychological exam for anyone trying to obtain one among other things. We can do better in safe storage laws making sure people that do have guns have them safely stored.
