The high school Christmas break is a break from work in the classroom. It’s not a break from basketball, however. Area teams stay sharp and in shape with holiday hoops in various tournaments. West Side Christian, Junction City and Smackover all played three games in last week’s Warrior Classic. This week, girls teams from Union County will compete in different events, including Parkers Chapel’s Holiday Tournament. El Dorado’s girls will venture outside the state to West Monroe and participate in the Sidney Smith Invitational.
