Three community cases
First
Case 62517 is a 38-year-old male Singaporean who works as an Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) Officer deployed at Changi Airport Terminal 1, but had not gone to work after onset of symptoms.
He developed a cough on Apr. 23 and sought medical treatment the next day at a General Practitioner clinic, where he was given two days’ medical leave.
On Apr. 26, he developed a fever, anosmia and body aches, and sought medical treatment at Tan Tock Seng Hospital the next day.
He was tested for Covid-19 and his test came back positive on the same day. His previous tests, the last being on Apr. 22, were all negative for Covid-19 infection. His serology test result is pending.
This brings the total number of cases to 60,966.
Five community cases, four linked to sea crew
There are five community cases.
Out of these five cases, four of them - Cases 62,348, 62,349, 62,350 and 62,365 - were close contacts of Case 62,113, a 39-year-old male Indonesian national who is a sea crew on board a bunker tanker.
As they had been identified as close contacts of Case 62,113, they were placed on quarantine on Apr. 16.
Amongst them, three are asymptomatic, while Case 62,350 developed a cough on Apr. 21 but did not report his symptom.
They were tested for Covid-19 on Apr. 22 during quarantine, and their test results came back positive on the same day.

The other 19 were imported cases. The total number of Covid-19 cases stands at 60,851.
Community is a spouse of a previous community case
The sole community case reported on April 19 is numbered 62,143. He is a 44-year-old male Singapore Permanent Resident.
He is the spouse of Case number 62,045, reported on April 17.
One of her household contacts is Case 61,536, a Work Pass holder who arrived from India on April 2.
He tested positive for Covid-19 infection on April 2 but was subsequently assessed to be a recovered case based on his positive serology result on April 4.
Community case worked at restaurants
He works as a manager at Spice Grill Restaurant (12 Gopeng Street) and Rangoon Bar & Bistro (94 Rangoon Road), and was last at work on April 15.
