Behind me they have new cushions on the safety rails. More new lightbulbs. The big new is the earthquake safety improvements all finished early. Cal tran opened the bridge shortly after 4 00 this morning. We caught the first car going through the toll plaza. There is good news crews were able to get more work done than anticipated. There will be no bridge closure next weekend. The bridge shut down friday night so they could replace a cracked beam. They say a combination of good weather and good luck helped them finish early. The best i can tell you all of the work just came together. The panels fit appropriately. The equipment was here. Everything was in place. And everything just worked like clock work.
