Speaking of the DSSO …
The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra s season finale is From Beethoven to Milhaud, a diverse showcase likened to a quilt. The program includes Milad Yousufi s Freedom, Osvaldo Golijov s ZZ s Dream, Darius Milhaud s Le Boeuf sur le Toit, Beethoven s Lenore No. 3 and Mozart s Clarinet Concerto with soloist Jennifer Gerth.
Per usual, the concerts have a limited number of in-person seats available, and they are available to stream. Duluth Homegrown is also streaming the concert concurrently on its YouTube page.
Gerth is the DSSO s principal clarinet player, and she has been with the orchestra since 1997. Visit dsso.com.
Low s Things We Lost in the Fire
the first two days, but tiger, vince, he is more human, if anything, he is more likable. the crowds have come back. i was out there both days watching him, and it is like the 90s or the early part of the 21st century in the fact that the fans are willing him to do things that he probably yet can t do on this course. but with tiger back, the game of golf is thriving and the tv ratings go up, and we saw, that and i certainly saw that as well. if he is playing well, and frankly making the cut can, and being out there at all, he ll probably have a bigger gallery out there than anyone else over the weekend. i was out there and the galleries are strong and 10, 12 deep. shane, in some ways did we overplay the return? well, tiger mania is understandab understandable, because he is the most transformative player of the modern jgeneration and what he has achieved is incredible and to see him back is exciting. and so you want to see him playing on the grander stages.
