Hizbul chief’s 2 sons, 19 other J&K staff sacked over terror links © Provided by The Times of India NEW DELHI: The J&K administration has sacked two sons of Pakistan-based Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin, who were employed in different departments, under Article 311 for alleged involvement in terror funding cases. The two are among the 19 J&K government staffers terminated as part of a review undertaken over the past one and a half months of cases under Article 311(2)(c), with a view to rid the UT administration of elements either working clandestinely for or furthering the activities of terrorist outfits, according to officials.

483 New Delhi/Srinagar, July 10 The Jammu and Kashmir administration has sacked its 11 employees, including two sons of Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin and two from the police department, for allegedly working as over-ground workers for terrorist organisations, officials said on Saturday. Those dismissed are from the Jammu Kashmir Police, education, agriculture, skill development, power and health departments, besides the Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS). Four of them are from Anantnag, three from Budgam and one each from Baramulla, Srinagar, Pulwama and Kupwara districts. These employees were dismissed under Article 311 of the Indian Constitution under which no inquiry is held and dismissed employees can approach only a high court for relief. Officials said the UT’s designated committee for scrutinising such cases, in its second and fourth meetings, recommended dismissal of three and eight employees, respectively.

Image-PTI PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday lashed out at the Centre accusing it of disempowering people of J&K over the suspension of 11 government employees who were dismissed for allegedly working with terror groups. Taking to Twitter, Mehbooba Mufti accused the Centre of trampling the Constitution in the garb of pseudo nationalism  and claimed that all policy decisions in J&K were being taken to punish Kashmiris.
