Lets jump right in. The first object we would like to show is the oldest in our collection. It is the first treaty that the United States entered into, in 1738. Most americans understand 1778. That americas independence was in 1776. Part of the recognition of these revolutionaries was not only did you have friends and allies that were going to fight your enemies in Great Britain, but also, the establishment of economic security.
