UPDATE: Two charged over Silly Solly s alleged assault

Premium Content Subscriber only Two people have been charged after a father and son were allegedly assaulted with a metal bar at Silly Solly s in Rockhampton s CBD on Tuesday, March 2. Police allege a man in his 40s and a teenager were assaulted by up to four people, one armed with a metal bar. The teenager was allegedly assaulted outside Silly Solly s, while the man was assaulted inside the store. Both alleged victims were transported to Rockhampton Hospital in stable conditions with facial lacerations. Detective Senior Sergeant Luke Peachey said police arrested two of the alleged offenders on Monday. Dylan Jade Elliott, 26, was charged with three counts of serious assault police officer, two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of enter premises with intent.

Man allegedly slashed over neighbourhood dispute

Premium Content Subscriber only A Rockhampton woman has had her matter heard in court on Tuesday after allegedly slashing a man at his home in Depot Hill on Monday night with a knife. Police were called to an alleged disturbance between a man and woman, who were known to each other, on Arthur Street about 10pm. During the disturbance the 28-year-old man allegedly sustained a deep laceration to his forearm and the woman a minor injury to her head. The man retreated inside his home and called police. He was transported to Rockhampton Hospital for treatment. Yvonne Estelle Gulf, 42, was arrested by police at the scene and transported to hospital after allegedly sustaining a head injury before being transported to the watch house.

Knife allegedly held to victim s throat in horrific break-in

Premium Content Subscriber only Rockhampton police are appealing for information after a home in Berserker was allegedly broken into early Saturday morning and the occupants allegedly threatened with a metal bar and large hunting knife. Rockhampton CIB Officer in Charge Detective Senior Sergeant Luke Peachey said two unknown offenders switched off the power at an Ellis St address at 2am Saturday before allegedly forcing entry to the home through the back door. He said the two alleged offenders demanded an amount of cash from two victims, a 34-year-old male and a 41-year-old male. “One offender has allegedly held a metal bar in a threatening manner while another has allegedly held a hunting knife to the throat of one of the victims,” Det Snr Sgt Peachey said.
