EM Bureau Dimapur/Kohima, June 6 (EMN): Various institutions and organisations held programmes marking World Environment Day (WED), which was celebrated on June 5 on the theme ‘Only one Earth’, across the state. LFHSS: Little flower Higher Secondary School (LFHSS), National Service Scheme (NSS) Club, Kohima organised a plantation drive around the school campus on account of WED on Monday. It was informed that about 120 saplings were planted around the school campus. The club encouraged the students and staff for a collective environmental action and advocated for transformative environmental change on a global scale and further encouraged to live sustainably. The volunteers along with the teachers further distributed eco-friendly reusable cotton bags to the traffic personnel in and around Kohima town.
