Its a tragic reminder to take care of yourself and the people around you. Here is what we do know, on monday an 87yearold woman and 72yearold man died in san jose. The coroner says a third unidentified person died yesterd yesterday. Officials say heat related deaths are preventable. Avoid alcohol and caffeine. The elderly children, and homeless are more at risk. Many people in our county that are homeless also suffer from Mental Health illness or drug and alcohol issue so were particularly concerned about them and doing out reach to ensure they get into places to cool off and not be exposed to extreme heat. Hottest day from the command center which starts now with the meteorologist, how hot is it going to get . Its going to be really hot. Especially for the valleys as our temperatures are already starting to climb, but i want to show you some record High Temperatures. What were forecasting, and what the records are set for today. San rafael, thele forecast is 89, and the record is 99. So we should not set any records here. Looking at napa, were going to be very close and well be watching that thermometer going up, but this record was set back in 1981, and we are also watching some other longstanding records like the one for livermore, the record is 110, that was set back in 1961. So we are already feeling the heat, and we have excessive heat warnings in effect for all of these areas shaded in orange. Thats where the temperatures will be the highest.
