The City of Monroe Police Department has partnered with several local businesses and faith-based agencies to offer RING surveillance cameras to residents of the 3 South voting precinct.
The program is made possible through a grant that was awarded to the MPD and its business partners. The city s police department recently joined the RING Neighbors app platform, which allows users to share photos, videos and information related to local crime and safety incidents with fellow residents.
MPD has partnered with Secondary Missionary Baptist Church and Oaks of Righteousness to offer the cameras to interested residents in the precinct. Monroe City Councilwoman Kellie Vining served as a liaison with the MPD, the faith-based organizations, and the neighborhood.
