No word how many could be trapped and what caused the collapse. Here is what the mayor said a short time ago. They were doing roof work on the building at the time. Certainly that doesnt seem like it would be the issue that would have caused it. Some of the residents at the Community Center have complained to me the new building that went up to the south used to shake the building when they were putting the pilings in. We need to look hard at what happened there and find out because buildings just dont fall down like this. We had the dogs out there probably a few hours ago over the collapsed area and were just not getting any hits which is really heartbreaking. Bill its a sound bite that captures the moment for what were trying to understand really beneath the rubble. Dana one thing we do know the building was going under a renovation of some sorts. That might have perhaps contributed to this terrible situation. Bill the authorities have been we see the sirens all night long. At the mo

It was a combination of factors that really drove this to the front of the policy debate this year. One was just the yearoveryear increases in the number of teenagers reporting ecigarette use. Thats been increasing fees of years. When that is another significant increase over last year. Another was this in in a relatd but sort of distinct issue that we saw starting over the summer with vaping related illnesses that were beginning to emerge.
