Democracy in chains. Ive made no secret of just how important i think this book is, in my humble opinion. [inaudible] we are doing our best, okay . Turn up the airconditioning back there . Okay, okay. My little experience in electoral politics, some of you might know i was on the Durham City Council for eight years in the previous lifetime. [applause] and it seemed to me then that one very important thing in politics is to understand your opponent, and understand where theyre coming from, what motivates them, what they are really trying to do. And as this book shows, i think, that our understanding of what is called at sometimes the radical right, the libertarian right, has been very limited, and that there has been a philosophy and a strategy that goes back decades that is behind much of what we see in politics now. I think there are a few things that can be more important for those of us who dont agree with that kind of politics than to read this book, understand it. And i think will
Another subject of protecting our country from terrorism. Let me say this, thousands of words have been written but the only thing you need to know is one thing, the the check tragedy of almost 3000 people murdered, the tragedies the moms and dads who never came home from work that day, the tragedy of people jumping from the towers, my friends we cannot let that man, osama bin laden, threaten on this country that we love. [applause]. When a refugee crisis impacts our world. Like most people i find the image of that poor syrian boy has not left my mind. Our responsibility is to help those with their lives. So to that we must keep our heads. Lets keep it simple fact, 1 Million People have been made homeless by the conflict in syria. If we opened the door to every refugee the best thing you can do is help neighbors, Syrian People with refugees. And then we do take refugees taken from the region. That encourages a dangerous but lethal journey. We have tos not stop caring about syrians. The
Next months. Now we have been very clear, both publicly and privately, a final agreement will not rely on promises. It will rely on proof. It is important to note that iran, to date, has honored all of the commitments that it made under the joint plan of action that we agreed to in 2013. And i ask you to think about that against the backdrop of those who predicted that it would fail and not get the job done. And in return for irans future cooperation, we and our International Partners will provide relief in phases from the sanctions that have impacted irans economy. And if we find at any point that iran is not complying with this agreement, the sanctions can snap back into place. So together these parameters outline a reasonable standard that iran can readily meet, and it is the standard that iran has now agreed to meet. Throughout history, diplomacy has been necessary to prevent wars and to define international boundaries, to design institutions, and to develop global norms. Simply de

Bad deal. Just recently, they found hidden nuclear sites. Iran is a statesponsor of terror. Arab countries surrounding it are concerned. I think that this is a bad deal. We are putting ourselves at risk. Iran just recently themselves, are developing intercontinental ballistic missiles. They are not meant for israel. It is meant to come here. Just recently, the ayatollah said death to america. I think this is a very bad deal. I think obama is trying to give himself something to show for his presidency. And i think it is going to put us at risk. It is going to destabilize the community. And i think that we need to open the doors for direct action. We need saudi arabia has offered israel to go ahead and take care of them unilaterally. Take them out. That is the best option we have. Last call tonight is from pat in goodyear, arizona. Pat thank you for cspan. You bet. Pat thank god for diplomats and their diplomacy. You know, president obama in 2007, promised that he would find another way
