I am told that a solo female officer responded to a call this morning of a reported dispute and assault at about 8 30 this morning. When she arrived, police say the suspect attacked her with a metal object. Sources tell us that object was some kind of chain, perhaps a bicycle chain. The officer was reportedly hit in the head and face. When she fired her again at the affect, fatally striking him.
