Around 1 00 this morning, the officer made a traffic stop across the street at the executive inn where a car is still parked there. A man takes off running across the boulevard here. An officer opened fire, shoots the man who ends up on the northbound 680 on ramp here off. He was arrested there. The man was taken away in an ambulance to a local hospital where he is getting treatment under the supervision of officers. Police do not know his condition but say he likely did not suffer lifethreatening injuries. More an dozen Police Officers as well as chp officers have been on scene. Five people were injured and one critically. Weve had one that is critical. We have three that were minor and then one was the walking wounded.
