But this power outage couldnt have come at a worse time. Livermore was in the darkness around 4 45 sunday afternoon on a day where temperatures soared above 105 degrees. Downtown looked like a ghost town and restaurants sent staff home. We still had the restaurant half full at 4 00 in the afternoon. So we had to get everyone paid out manually and get them out the door and cleaned up. Then we kind of sat around and waited to see if the power would come on. We do have some light showers and even a little heavier shower right now on the eastern side of the san mateo bridge. In fact, here you can see some of that rain coming down, adding more puddles to the roadway and thats what were going to have for the morning commute but then its going to be a little drier with a stray shower through 7 00 but come 11 00 tonight, a next round of wet weather is on the way. Happening around our area this morning with the storm coming in. They are coming in fast and furious. Friday was all about wind. This is all going to be about rain. The Santa Cruz Sheriffs Office just sent this out. Flooding in the real delmar flats and beach neighborhood. There is also other areas that are having water issues as well. Maybe 9 interest if everything came together. Wind gusts to 50 miles per hour. Flooding is likely. Additional mudslides and damaging wind. There was one band that came through. They are picking up again. They stay this way until 4 pm. Depending on where this sets up there is a main band. If that sets up over the Santa Cruz Mountains we will get the heaviest around amounts. 48 inches tall. I do think there will be around the Santa Cruz Mountains. It seems to favor that area.
