Three new COVID-19 deaths reported in Santa Cruz County dashboard [Santa Cruz Sentinel, Calif.]
Dec. 22 SANTA CRUZ County of Santa Cruz Health Services Agency reported three new coronavirus-related deaths in its data dashboard late Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths in the county to 73.
Details provided by county spokesman Jason Hoppin indicate that the 71st fatality was a Latina woman in her 80s who died on Dec. 14. She had no underlying, significant health conditions that contributed to her death; COVID-19 was the only cause. She was not a resident of a skilled nursing or residential care facility.
The 72nd fatality was a white woman in her 80s who died Dec. 16, Hoppin said. She had more than one underlying, significant health condition that contributed to her death, however, COVID-19 was the main cause. She was a resident of Pacific Coast Manor.
