You cannot say you were not wanted signs on 280 and highway 9 tell you this stretch is block off at the place the locals call the gap the Santa Clara Santa Cruz line. Three miles away on the santa cruz side you can see why the weekend rain was too much for the hillside to bear and now art and marys trip just got bigger to big basin. When all the mud is moved by caltran, pg e will replace this. Caltran will send someone to check for more cracks on the hillside. This stretch of freeway behind me is in livermore with partly closed for eight hours. Here is the big moment, uprighting the big rig. This could have gone terribly wrong. It didnt. Midway through the morning crews got creative and made a slide to send the boxes down the hill to a flatbed trick which sped up the process but still, it took four hours to unload the truck by hand. Then they had to uproot it and tow it out of here. This happened on westbound 580 in livermore. It stayed like this and officers say sometimes you just have to throw in the towel and give up.
